LOS ANGELES (CONVERSEER) – KATSEYE, the international girl group formed through the HYBE-Geffen Records partnership, has secured a high-profile performance slot at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards on 1 February 2026, marking a significant milestone in its rapid rise to global prominence.
The six-member ensemble – Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Manon Bannerman, Megan Skiendiel, Sophia Laforteza and Yoonchae Jeung – debuted in June 2024 after being selected from a worldwide pool of aspirants on the reality audition series The Debut: Dream Academy. The group blends Western pop sensibilities with the polished performance style associated with K-pop, earning recognition for their dynamic choreography and stylistic identity.
KATSEYE’s Grammy nominations underscore its breakout success. The group is a contender for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, reflecting its commercial impact and critical acclaim. Their tracks “Gnarly,” “Gabriela” and “Internet Girl” have charted on the Billboard Hot 100, with “Gabriela” peaking at No. 21, while their Beautiful Chaos EP has enjoyed sustained performance on Billboard’s 200 chart.
Industry observers describe the Grammy performance as historic, noting that no Korean-linked act in mainstream popular music has previously secured a Grammy win. A successful night for KATSEYE could break that precedent and highlight the expanding international reach of groups emerging from collaborations between K-pop systems and Western music markets.
Beyond awards recognition, KATSEYE’s influence has extended into fashion and lifestyle collaborations. Recent campaigns include collaborations with Pandora for mini charm jewellery, underscoring their broad cultural relevance beyond music.

The group’s ascent has not been without challenges. Members have candidly discussed the pressures of fame, including intense online scrutiny and hostile commentary, highlighting the psychological toll that can accompany rapid success.
As KATSEYE prepares for the Grammy show, the group’s dedicated fanbase – known as Eyekons – continues to support its evolution from a reality-born project to a global music phenomenon.
